Quick Updates using the Opportunities Board
To open the Opportunities Board, go to Sales User > My Opportunities (shown below).

From this board, a Sales User can:
- Filter by date (month, quarter or year) or view all Opportunities assigned to the logged in Sales User (see marker 2 above).
- Drag and drop (on desktop) or use navigation buttons (on mobile) to update an opportunity’s stage.
- Drill into the Opportunity or Customer details by opening the Opportunity or Customer links (markers 4 and 6 above).
- Update notes or tasks for an opportunity by clicking on the notes/tasks icons (markers 7 and 8 above).
- Edit Opportunity value by clicking on the amount and changing the value (marker 5 above).
Advanced Filtering with optional Roles
Sales Manager and Sales Exec users may also use advanced filtering to see Opportunities based on Sales Person (marker 10 below), Territory (marker 11 below) or Customer (marker 12 below).

Sales Manager users can see data associated with their assigned Sales Employee, as well as opportunities for their direct reports (Sales Employees who are assigned to that manager in B1 Employee Master Data).
Sales Exec users can see data associated with any Sales Employee.
Performance for Large Data Sets
To ensure smooth performance with large data sets, Opportunity Board loads data “just in time” based on the selected filters. When a Sales User needs data, it’s ready promptly, striking a balance between web responsiveness and back-end data load.
The Opportunity Board has been benchmarked at under 2 seconds when displaying more than a hundred Opportunities (each with 10 attachments and activities). When additional filtering is applied, Opportunities load even more quickly, with typical boards loading in a fraction of a second.
Activities
Supported Activities may be linked from reports (such as the Sales User - My Open Activities
or Sales User - My Closed Activities
reports) using Golden Arrow Drill-downs using the URL Template: ~/SalesUser/Activities/view/{0}
where {0}
is the Activity ID (ClgCode
).
An example of a “Task” activity is: http://productdemos.vision33.com/employee-portal/SalesUser/Activities/view/12
Currently, the Activity types “Notes” and “Tasks” are supported out-of-the-box.
Editing a Task or Note
Using the Activity reports (Sales User - My Open Activities
or Sales User - My Closed Activities
), an activity’s details may be viewed. If the activity has a B1 status of “Open”, it can be edited using the edit button. Shown below are tasks and notes screens.

Add notes and assign follow-up tasks to an opportunity
Tasks and notes may be added from the Opportunities Board (as outlined above) or the Opportunity Details screen. Activities may be edited from those pages, or using the drill-down edit screen accessible on the Sales User report Sales User - My Open Activities
.
Sales Users may assign tasks to other users, at which point they will no longer be visible until they are re-assigned back.
Tasks may be assigned a due date, and if that due date passes, it will turn red to alert users of the missed deadline.
Update Opportunity details
To open the Opportunity Details screen, Sales Users may drill down into an opportunity from the Opportunity Board. Opportunities may also be accessed from the Opportunities tab from the Business Partner details screen.
From the Opportunity Details screen, opportunities assigned to the Business Partner are visible in a list. A user may select the desired opportunity from the list, or expand the list using the expand/collapse button to see additional opportunities assigned to that Business Partner.
To edit Opportunity Details, use the Edit button to activate Edit Mode, then press the Save button to apply any updates.
If desired, notes and tasks may be added or updated from the task log pane.
Adding attachments to an opportunity or activity
An attachment may be added to an opportunity from the Opportunity Board or from the edit opportunity screen. If adding an attachment from the Opportunity Board, first, press the attachments button (paper-clip).

This will load the “Add Attachments” window. Note that attachments cannot be deleted, due to limitations in SAP Business One.

Attachments may also be added to an opportunity using the opportunity details screen “Edit” button.
Attachments may be added to a Task or Note within the edit screens for those activities.
